January 18: Crouse-Wanamaker Lecture – Cancelled

UPDATED: The Crouse-Wanamaker Lecture for 18 Jan 2020 has been CANCELLED. This decision by Quinte Branch has wisely been made for the safety and well being of our members and occasional community attendees. The storm is currently advertised by the Weather Network and Environment Canada as the biggest storm for Ontario this winter and is predicting 15-20 cm of snow.

Tracing our family’s history is a lifelong journey.  From the simple question, “Who is in my family?” to its current popularity, genealogy has experienced major transitions in 40 years.  Researching her own heritage since the early 1970s, Cheryl will share the process of recording the many stories she has discovered along the way. Reminisce researching ‘the old way’ and explore currently available resources and methodology.
Cheryl Levy, PLCGS, of Footprints to Heritage, is a graduate of the National Institute for Genealogical Studies, having earned Professional Learning Certificates for Methodology and Canadian Records. Cheryl’s roots are in Nova Scotia and Colonial New England.
