About our Presenter: Jess Posgate is the Projects Coordinator for OurDigitalWorld (ODW). Jess has been involved in managing large-scale digitization projects for grassroots organizations since 2007, including local history collections, community newspapers, local history books, Tweedsmuir histories and more.

When not working virtually for ODW, Jess lives off the grid, keeping bees and gardening, in Prince Edward County.

Presentation outline: OurDigitalWorld hosts a wide range of community collections from Ontario and beyond, including one of the world’s largest newspaper sites – all freely accessible to the public.

Learn how to search and find family history from multimedia and newspaper collections in the portal and the Ontario Community Newspaper portal as well as specialty sites like the Maritime History of the Great Lakes, Federated Womens’ Institutes of Ontario Digital Collections, the Illinois Newspaper Index and more.
