Join the Board of Directors and members of the Society from around the world this Saturday to discuss past successes and future plans and to celebrate our volunteers and Branches/SIGs at our Annual General Meeting. This will be held as a “virtual” meeting on the ZOOM platform.

Members should register well before 10:00 am.

2020 Annual General Meeting Notice

Notice to Members of Ontario Ancestors (The Ontario Genealogical Society)

The Annual General Meeting of The Ontario Genealogical Society will be held on Saturday, September 26th at 11:00 am online via ZOOM and ELECTRONIC VOTING for the following purposes:

The AGM registration states a 10:00 AM start time, the AGM starts at 11:00 AM
This allows us to verify all members before 11:00 AM.
Registration closes at 10:00 AM

  1. To receive the Annual Report of the Society;
  2. To receive the Financial Statements of the Society for the 2019 calendar year;
  3. To ratify the Actions of the Board of Directors for the period through September 26, 2020;
  4. To elect Officers and Members of the Board of Directors;
  5. To ratify the Appointment of the Auditor;
  6. To transact such further business as may properly come before the Annual General Meeting.

The meeting is open to members. Members are asked to register online at https://ogs.on.ca/members-area/ for the meeting. This will require to login to the Society Website prior to registering.

2019 Financial Statements

Flabbi & Associates LLP has completed the audit of the financial statements of The Ontario Genealogical Society, which comprise the statement of financial position as at December 31, 2019 and the statements of operations, changes in net assets and cash flows for the year then ended, and a summary of significant accounting policies and other explanatory information.
These represent the financial statements of the Society, including the Branches and Special Interest Groups.  The financial statements are available above or can be found on the Society Website.
