Join Ontario Ancestors/OGS

As a bonus service to its members, Ontario Ancestors has negotiated an agreement with MyHeritage that will provide access for members of the Ontario Genealogical Society to MyHeritage “Library Edition”.  This access will come from Ontario Ancestors in an email containing a confidential URL and an individual “key code” upon confirmation of membership in OGS.

February 1: The GEDCOM Toolkit

Bob Dawes, a retired technology executive and a past Chair of the Quinte Branch, who has presented to many societies, branches and conferences will explain the GEDCOM format and develop strategies for applying this misunderstood and underutilized genealogical tool to your genealogy research. Bob is presenting to the Leeds & Grenville Branch of Ontario Ancestors.

Ancestral Circle of Stepping Stones

The Ancestral Circle of Stepping Stones at the Old Sidney Town Hall Park in Wallbridge is a project to commemorate former residents of Sidney Township. The project is completed except for the formal dedication ceremony which will be held sometime next spring. However, donations of engraved stones will continue indefinitely with installation annually in September.
