For over 20 years, Bob Dawes shared his computer expertise in many ways. “Bob’s Bytes” was a regular feature in the Quinte Branch newsletter, “The Quinte Searchlight“. Bob created and mentored a “special interest group (SIG)”, a “TECH SIG“, that focused on using computers for genealogical research. A pre-eminent speaker on the “genealogy circuit”, Bob presented often and for a variety of audiences on various topics of interest to family historians.
