The meaning behind the visuals The visual identities for National Indigenous History Month and National Indigenous Peoples Day bring together meaningful symbols and vibrant colours to highlight the richness and diversity of First Nations, Inuit and Métis cultures. In the centre are three symbols: a feather, a narwhal, and a fiddle. Each represents the distinct cultures of First Nations, Inuit and Métis communities, brought together in a circular flowing composition to reflect the connection between the groups. Betty Bruce Scrapbook – FREE for June

Betty Bruce, her husband Lorne, and their son Roy, along with his wife Ruth, were all part of the founding members of the Quinte Branch of the Ontario Genealogical Society. We thank them for their dedication to Quinte Branch. This collection of clippings was saved by Betty Bruce and her son Roy. The donation of envelopes to the Quinte Branch of the Ontario Genealogical Society resulted in envelopes sitting on shelves for several years with periodic review by volunteers and researchers. The 1926 Ireland census is here! You can access it for free on the National Archives of Ireland site and only on that site…. so far. It will likely end up on other websites in the future, but for now names are searchable and images are available at the link below.    Even if your family left Ireland before 1926, you may be able to find other relatives who stayed behind.   https://nationalarchives.ie/
