Quinte Research Library
Quinte Branch maintains a large and growing genealogy library for research by members and non-members in the Quinte Genealogy Centre operated by the branch. The library holdings include hundreds of genealogies and family histories in addition to published books, CDs and microfilm for the Quinte area, other parts of Ontario and Canada, the United States, Great Britain & Ireland and Australia and Tasmania. Computerized Finding Aids including the searchable online “FIND-IT” Names Index and in-house CemSearch databases are available to help you quickly identify your ancestors and family members in the library holdings. New resources are added regularly, and donations are most welcome and acknowledged.

Research volunteers may not be on duty at all times, their hours can be confirmed by telephone. Branch material is for reference use only and does not circulate. Remote searches for “individuals of interest” are easy using the Quinte Branch FIND-IT search tool to locate relevant original sources in the Reference Library.
Please note that the Quinte Branch has changed its research policy. We are no longer charging for our research, but we are now relying on your donation funds to sustain our research library. if you think the research findings the Quinte Branch has sent you contributed to your research, please consider a donation to the Quinte Branch: please see the link following.
