Guide to Efficient Research on This Site

This “Guide to Efficient Research on This Site” is intended to simplify the work of intermediate or advanced researchers who wish to explore the Quinte Branch site for information on a specific individual, surname, event, location or document related to the general “Quinte area” comprised of Hastings and Prince Edward Counties and the eastern portion of Northumberland County. Beginning researchers would be advised to start with the menu item titled “GENEALOGY 101” and work through the sub-items on the drop-down menu in order. This is a full genealogy course that has been offered numerous times over the years containing a “roadmap” to get you started and literally hundreds of valuable links to further resources for in-depth study. If you have a question on any topic during your visit, use the “Contact us if you have a question” form available on most pages to submit your question to the Quinte Branch.
